With the imminent release of Case Zero and of course, Dead Rising 2; we at The Game Arena have become to be a little nostalgic and so I have decided to scribe my thoughts on a title that was conceived way back when TGA was but a twinkle in one...

Now and again something quite special is released on the Xbox Live Arcade and this summer we have the pleasure of playing Limbo. Limbo has no story, dialogue or reason for existing but it does however fill you with fear and shock as you wonder through this young Tim Burton style...

Hello there, kids? Wondering why mom and dad won’t let you play on that new game with the bear on the front? Even though they let you play the odd rough game but for some reason they wont let you get your paws on this one. Well at the risk...

| A noble Space Marine is stood to attention and as the camera zooms into the face of this genetically enhanced warrior bred for war. As you stare into his steely gaze you know all these eyes have seen is violence and what wonderful violence it is as the new trailer screened at gamescon 2010 explodes into a gameplay gorefest!
It shows a hell of alot of close combat which looks awesome, you see your marine swing his chainsword in brutal arcs each time it connects with a greenskin bodies your rewarded with goutes of blood. Also involved in the combat are finishing moves which adds to the thrill of combat, theres nothing finer than the sound of a Ork skull cracking under an armour clad boot!

You also get a first glimse the alternate heavy weapons, the heavy bolter (a larger cousin of standard weapon) which is seen tearing through Ork ranks and the autocannon which is employed to combat an Ork flyer.
In addition to this some gameplay elements have come to my attention. The game sees you take control of four different marines, a sergeant, assualt marine, devastator and a tactical marine which are upgradable as you progress. Plot details have also come to light that the Orks are looking for a Warlord class titan which is a vast bipedal machine of war.
As I see more of this game the more I want to play it and the more I hope my expectations are not dashed!

| Valve have revealed that the good people who brought us Left 4 Dead games have not forgotten those who missed the band wagon that was Left 4 Dead 2 with the new DLC. Now the workings of "The Sacrifice" is a puzzler in itself. It will be work on both titles (L4D 1 & 2) but offers different things depending on the copy your playing.
The L4D 1 crowd will be treated to this new campaign and even gets the choice of who will fall to the Horde perminantly! Now For those who havent played the Passing DLC i wont say which of the old survivors fell but surely that was definative wasnt it? Are we to lose Another Character? I honestly dont know but apparently you will hold the survivors life in your hands.
The L4D 2 peeps will be treated to a rehashed version of the no mercy campaign from the original, now before you ask i honestly dont know how this will work either? is it just gonna be reskinned and revoiced character models running around the L4D 1 campaign? did the New Orleans Cats make a bit of a detour and end up...wherever the L4D 1 City slickers came from? Either way!
Let us not dwell in realms which we do not understand, let us wait and trust the capable hands of valve let us just bath in the glow of longevity added to the fantastic co-op zombie bashing phenomenon. With PC steam users getting it for my favourite price of ZERO pounds it remains to be seen how much it will cost to us console users.
